Beef and Fresh Pineapple Kebabs

To Serve 4

Ingredients 

  • 450g (1 lb) sirloin beef, cut into bite-sized pieces 
  • 1 small pineapple, cut into cubes
  • 1-2 tablesp. olive oil 
  • Salt and black pepper

To Cook

Thread the steak pieces and pineapple chunks onto four skewers. Brush each kebab with oil. Season and grill, or barbecue, for 8-10 minutes, turning once or twice.

Cook's Note: 

The pineapple juice has quite a tenderising effect on the beef. It is best not to assemble the kebabs more than 30 minutes before cooking.
